Three days is enough for a meaningful visit if each day has one geographic focus: a town-and-coast day, a signature north-side day, and a flexible third day you point at whichever forecast looks best — a moderate hike, or the south side.
Day 1: Rocky Harbour and the coast
Arrive, get oriented at the visitor centre, and keep the day close to town. Walk Lobster Cove Head, do the easy Berry Hill Pond loop, and end at the harbourfront for sunset. Dinner in town — see our eating guide.
Day 2: Western Brook Pond
Dedicate the day to the Western Brook Pond boat tour, the park's signature experience. Book ahead. Combine with a stop at Broom Point on the drive back if it's staffed for the season.
Day 3: Weather call — hike or south side
Use your best remaining weather window for the day's biggest commitment. If conditions are clear and you're up for it, this is the day for Gros Morne Mountain (check the seasonal closure first). If the weather favours it instead, take the south side for the Tablelands, Woody Point and Trout River.
